Bye to October, hello Christmas?

At the beginning of 2022, I asked the question: What will you do?

I think about that all the time. What will I do this year? Every time I got frustrated over a situation, someone would ask for my help with family history. An email, an Ancesty message, a text and calls from friends and church members came when I wondered what more could I do about the unknown?

I never could have imagined those calls and that help would lead me to opportunities to live and work in a wonderful area and meet incredible people. As I mentioned, librarians don’t know everything and I know even less now that I have this job. Every day is something new and bieng able to dig into the archives to find records from 1880s and watch students teach the history of writing using artifacts that range from real papyrus, Cuneiform tablet, whale bone to the Gutenburg Bible is awe-inspiring.
